    Canyon de Chelly & Navajoland
Sep. 8-12, 2013 : The Four-Corners region of the Southwest has many iconic images that have been celebrated in movies since the 20s. We will be photographing in two areas, Canyon de Chelly, part of the National Park system and second in size only to the Grand Canyon, and some of the areas around it, all in the Navajo Nation. These are little-known treasures, and they afford amazing opportunities for dramatic photography, and we look forward to showing you some of our favorite places ...

Workshops are limited to 12 participants for a maximum 6:1 ratio students to instructors

Fall Lakes and Mountains in the Lake Placid Area
Sep. 22-26 : There are no greater landscape views anywhere in the eastern US than those found in the Adirondack High Peaks in late September when fall colors are at their best. A combination of lakes, streams, and tumultuous waterways lying at the foot of rugged Adirondack mountains offers an endless array of dramatic landscapes.  The extraordinary diversity of this wild mountain landscape is simply incomparable.  We will cover most all aspects of mountain landscape and nature photography, including wide angle, macro, telephoto, and panoramic photography, and will discuss various creative techniques and digital workflow. The low student to instructor ratio allows plenty of time for interaction with each student.

    Fall Foliage Canaan Valley, WV
Sept 25-29, 2013 : Because of its relatively high elevation, Canaan Valley has a cooler, moister climate than surrounding areas at lower altitudes which makes it the perfect recipe for outstanding fall foliage. Canaan Valley rivals the UP of Michigan and the New England states for brilliant fall color. Canaan Valley shares much of the plant and animal life characteristic of the rest of the state, but it also includes species otherwise found only in sub-arctic bogs and conifer forests of Alaska, Maine and Canada.  For more details go to http://www.wonderofitallphoto.com or find us on Facebook

    Fall in the Adirondacks
September 25-28, 2013 : This has become my favorite and the most popular of my tours/workshops. In part that has to be because of the magnificent autumn colors in the Adirondack Mountains. Last fall was absolutely breathtaking. Our tour/workshop will provide easy access to mountain trails, magnificent waterfalls, wilderness rivers and streams, placid lakes, awesome sunsets & sunrises and mountainsides painted with brilliant autumn colors.Mid-tour, we will be hosted by the famed Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake, overlooking a picturesque lake and in the shadow of a popular trail that climbs a mountain, both by the same name. The museum is one of the country's premier natural history museums and will provide tour participants with the opportunity to shoot throughout the museum 43 acre campus, for potential use by the museum. As with all my tour/workshops, this Adirondack tour is designed to accommodate beginner and intermediate photographers interested in one-on-one instruction and the opportunity to  expand their portfolios with quaint mountain village scenes as well as dramatic grand mountain landscapes. More advanced photographers, especially those on short visits to the Adirondack region, will appreciate the time-saving benefits of being guided by an experienced Adirondack photographer.

Monochromatic HDR in the Big Sur Landscape
Sept 27-Sept 29, 2013 : In this workshop, Master Photographer Harold Davis guides participants in both aspects of the monochromatic HDR process: shooting and post-processing.

Workshop participants will take advantage of Carmel and historic Monterey as well the glorious landscape of Big Sur, photographing subjects as varied as Bixby Bridge along Highway 1, Point Lobos, Mission Carmel, and more. In the classroom, hands-on guidance will explain techniques for extending dynamic range, monochromatic conversion methods, and best practices where the two technologies intersect.

In addition, the workshop will provide extensive coverage of the creative vision required to successfully create monochromatic HDR images as well as the workflow necessary to make art prints from this specialized image-making technique.
