    Finger Lakes Wine Country
Oct. 3-6, 2013 : The Finger Lakes region of upstate New York is a jewel from any perspective. A series of eleven glacial lakes are as natural as they are old. Native American legend explains, the Creator looked upon this land with special favor and reached down to bless it, leaving the imprint of His hand, hence, the Finger Lakes. Each lake offers it's own unique photo opportunities that not only include countless majestic panoramic views but seemingly limitless waterfalls, country streams, and dramatic gorges. This tour will incorporate a little of each, but you'll still want more and many of you will choose to return during other seasons of the year. If that's not enough for you, consider that in the 21st century the Finger Lakes are fast becoming a major wine producing area with most lakes ringed by an ever-increasing number of vineyards and wineries. This tour will incorporate visits to the Finger Lakes National Forest (the only National Forest in New York State) as well as Watkins Glen State Park (where within two miles, the gorge stream descends 400 feet, past 200-foot cliffs and 19 waterfalls), the 600-foot deep winding Grand Canyon of the East (Letchworth State Park) and the meandering waterfalls of Stony Brook State Park. As with most of my nature photo tours/workshops, the Finger Lakes tour will accommodate photographers at every experience level. We'll visit many striking venues and at each I'll work with individual participants to maximize both your enjoyment of the locale as well as the opportunity to enhance your photography. Toward that end, registration will be accepted from only 6-8 participants.

    New Hampshire Fall Color Workshop
October 5-11, 2013 : Brilliant, dazzling, spectacular, stunning, magnificent... just some of the words to describe New Hampshire in the fall. Donna Eaton and Les will host a workshop in the White Mountains, which are part of the Appalachian Trail, and are one of the most rugged mountain ranges in New England. Fall in the White Mountains is awe-inspiring as it is one of the few places in the world where the colors are so spectacular. The leaves transform from green into dazzling hues of red, yellow and orange as they say goodbye to the summer and begin to prepared for the cold winter season ahead. This transformation has been referred to as an explosion of color.

At this 7-day photographic workshop, you will experience and enhance your own creativity and vision of nature landscape and macro photography. Using the natural background of the White Mountains and all the gifts nature has to offer us, you will have the opportunity to photography the splendor of sunrises, tranquil sunsets, colorful reflections and discover spectacular landscapes.

Our goal is to help you expand your creative vision and photographic craft. Our mornings will consist of photographing and classroom time in the afternoon plus capturing late light and sunsets in the field. You will learn special macro skills plus wide angle and intimate landscape techniques. We will also teach you how to optimize your images with post-processing techniques.

Classrooms will include critiques of participant's images from Donna and Les plus presentations on moving your creative skills up to the next level.

All participants will receive one 12x18 fine art print of their work from the workshop. Workshop is open to 15 participants. Hope to see you there!

This workshop is for beginner and intermediate level photographers.
