    Wildflowers of Texas
April 10-14 : Embrace spring with your camera in the scenic Hill Country of central Texas when fields of wildflowers will be at their showy best. We will begin the class in San Antonio where we will spend the first evening photographing an amazing array of historic Spanish Missions, including the Alamo. By evening we will be shooting scenes along the citys famous Riverwalk. You will be amazed at the shots you can get at dusk in a city environment when ambient light mixes perfectly with city lights. We will then move on to the heart of Texas Hill Country in Fredericksburg where wildflowers, especially fields of bluebonnets will be awaiting our lenses. In addition to all the wildflowers there is the amazing pink granite domes at Enchanted Rocks Natural Area, longhorn cattle and the music scene at night in small towns like Luckenbach. We will even venture further west to the Caverns of Sonora where we will get a private tour of the amazing crystal-like formations. All in all spring in Texas will keep our cameras humming and you will learn many different techniques for capturing very memorable images.

The Spirit of Bhutan Photo and Cultural Tour
April 24 - May 6, 2014 : Bhutans ancient history relies heavily on Buddhism, local mythology, and legend. This country, nestled in the heart of the Himalayan Mountains, has, for centuries, remained a mystery to the rest of the world. Ghosts, angels, yetis, demons, and saints shaped the past. Fortunate are the few travelers to visit the Buddhist kingdom of Druk Yul (Land of the Thunder Dragon), or Bhutan as it is known to the outside world. Bhutan is holding on to its cultural traditions despite the homogenization process that has engulfed so many other small countries.

The tour includes opportunities to photograph some of Bhutans most visually exciting places, including the famed Tigers Nest monastery, dramatic landscapes, village scapes, and the beautiful Bhutanese people. Our adventure includes the Shangri-La setting of the Paro Valley, the remote Wangdi Valley, the capital city of Thimphu, and the cultural heartland of the country, its thriving spiritual center abounding with numerous centuries old temples, shrines, and monasteries. Additionally, Karen will be offering OPTIONAL Creative iPhoneography sessions for participants with an iPhone or iPad. What fun! For complete itinerary and more travel details,
