ConferencesNANPA Regional Forum - General Schedule Thursday, Oct. 2 -Afternoon: Check-in/registration is any time at the Game Lodge, Highway 16A in Custer State Park. A map is provided in the center fold-out of the Custer State Park, "Wild and Wooly" pamphlet that is mailed with your registration confirmation letter. The nearest airport is Rapid City Regional. Car rental is available there. Take a leisurely drive around the park or stroll the historic summer White House Game Lodge grounds before dinner. Evening: Dinner (on your own) at 5:30---6:30 at the main lodge followed by introductory slide/digital presentations by the leaders; 7:00-8:00 Program, 8:00-9:00 Program; 9:30 Post next day's schedule. Friday, Oct. 3 -Morning: Field trips beginning at 5:00 or 6:00 am; image critiques or more shooting in the afternoon. Evening: Same plan as Thursday evening. One program will be for participants' images. We will have a slide projector and an LCD projector for digital images. Saturday, Oct. 4 -Morning: Field trips beginning at 5:00 or 6:00 am.
Sunday, Oct. 5 -Morning: to Mt. Rushmore for mountain goats, great granite faces, brunch or lunch and departure around noon. Evening: Western buffet ($20.00/person.) At 7:30 Paul Horsted will present his "Exploring with Custer" program. It's a slide show of the scenics made by George Armstrong Custer's expedition photographer, re-located by researchers and GPS and re-photographed by Paul today. After this, we will view more participants' images.
