NANPA's Seventh Annual Summit
Odyssey 2001

Las Vegas, Nevada

Summit Trade Show and Exhibitor Demonstrations

Welcome to this year's Exhibit Hall!

Updated December 28, 2000.

This year, NANPA is offering more non-competitive time for you to visit. Traditionally, this annual event has brought together a diverse group of photography-related products and services to our membership. This year we encourage you to stretch your imagination and explore the ever-changing tools and new technologies available from the exhibiting companies. Whether your inspiration comes from exotic travel, a lens that opens up new vistas, seeing your printed work on paper, or utilizing the cutting edge of digital enhancement, you're sure to find something here to satisfy your desires.

This year we are repeating and even expanding the popular Exhibitor Demonstrations. The scheduled 30-minute sessions allow you to see demonstrations of the exhibitors' products and services, and end with the opportunity to exchange ideas and information during Q&A. Our exhibitors are committed in their support of NANPA's membership and invite you to visit their booths, ask questions, attend their demonstrations and, of course, take advantage of the exceptional values offered during this year's Trade Show.

Trade Show access is included in Summit registration. It is open to the public or non-attendees on Saturday for a daily pass fee of $25 which can be purchased at the registration desk. This also includes admission to the Gordon Parks presentation.

Trade Show Hours:
Thursday, 12:00pm 4:00pm

Saturday, 9:00am 3:00pm

We'll explain the value of making proofs, and how they can serve as a powerful communication tool. We'll also discuss how making a large scan of your image (an Archive Scan) will benefit you in the long run. Wildlife Photography in the Real Wild

The Thelon Wildlife Sanctuary is the largest and most remote wildlife refuge in Canada. Arctic bush pilot and guide (Tundra) Tom Faess presents an in-depth look at wildlife photography highlights, and its trials and tribulations in extreme remote areas. Based on his 30 years of working as a pilot and wildlife photography guide with wild wolf dens, musk-oxen, grizzly, and the Beverly, Bathurst & Kaminuriak caribou herds, Tom also discusses the possible effects of current native land claims and resource development on our last wilderness areas - as portrayed from the eyes of a long-term Northerner. Slideshow photography includes musk-oxen, northern lights, white wolves, native culture and history plus incredible Arctic landscapes: quality work donated by photographers Art Wolfe, Galen Rowell, Michael Francis, Stephen Maka, Dr. Wayne Lynch, Dr. L. David Mech and several others who have been clients of Tom's guiding services over the years.
