Backyard Bird Photography with Jeff Parker
Learn to create better images of the birds that visit your backyard and practice making your own photography set-ups in a country setting during this full-day Backyard Bird Photography Workshop ~ 2018.
I offer this workshop twice — Saturday, February 24, 2018 ~ OR ~ Sunday, February 25, 2018
Artistic elements will be covered, including how to create set-ups that result in visually appealing images, tips on composing bird photographs, the best lighting for photographing birds, and other key issues regarding getting good images of these quick-flying subjects.
Equipment obviously plays a key role in getting good images — both photography equipment AND that related to attracting birds to your backyard. Therefore, we’ll focus on those topics, including taking a look at your special needs given the type of yard you have, where you live, and your budget constraints.
This workshop also includes tips on how to affordably build your own backyard bird photo blind plus an afternoon photo shoot in my own affordably-built photo blinds at Red Belly Ranch.
Please note that the focus of this workshop is on learning how to take what you learn and do this at home more than actually creating images during the workshop. This workshop has been extremely well-received; folks have consistently told me that they’ve found it chock full of practical tips and information that they can put into action in their own daily lives.
The group will be small — just six (6) participants. / Includes a hand-out & note-taking packet and a delicious lunch (on-site).
