Beyond the Visible: Lessons in Infrared Photography with Susanna Euston
April 7 - April 10
$489
The “magic hours” of early morning or late evening are often preferred by landscape photographers. Between these times many pack their cameras away until the next round. But, once the sun is up, and Infrared radiation — or “light beyond the visible” — reflects from surfaces, one may switch to an Infrared-converted camera and shoot all day, rain or shine! Infrared photography loves sun or bright overcast light or rain. It’s particularly interesting when captured in fog. The effects are intriguing, with deciduous leaves and grasses that appear white (while conifers remain dark), dramatic skies, and other surreal effects. The glow of backlighting is particularly effective and captivating. On rainy days, infrared captures the lovely, softness of the landscape in a way you’ll love.
Beyond the Visible will take you on an experiential tour of Infrared Photography, both Vision and Craft.
