Ecuador Amazon-Ken Archer, Trogon Tours
January 27 - February 1$2595
Join Ken Archer and Javier Zurita to photograph in the amazing Amazon Basin of Ecuador. Some of the highlights include the Yasuni parrot and macaw clay licks, boat trips on oxbow lakes to photograph amazing birds such as the prehistoric Hoatzin, canopy tower bird photography, feeders which attract showy species like Scarlet-crowned Barbet, blinds for photographing Wire-tailed Manakin, primates such as Pygmy Marmoset and great macro photography. All of this set at charming Sani Lodge, which is located on a large oxbow lake off the Napo River, the most western large tributary of the Amazon Basin. Sani is run and owned by the local indigenous community, so you are supporting an important conservation project as well.
