Malheur Breeding Birds and Wild Horses-Ken Archer, Trogon Tours

April 21 - April 26

Join Ken Archer for this adventure to remote Eastern Oregon to photograph at one of the best breeding bird locations in the lower 48. We will spend 2 mornings on a private ranch photographing Sage Grouse from blinds at their lek. The Malheur area is a great location to photograph shorebirds such as Avocets, Stilts, Phalaropes, Curlews on their breeding grounds. It’s also very good for waterfowl including Cinnamon Teal and a variety of raptors and owls. We also spend some time photographing the herds of wild horses and other mammals such as Pronghorn and Mule Deer. Ken will give presentations on photographing wildlife and help you achieve great images in the field.
