Port Royal SC Jamie Konarski Davidson and Mark Hilliard

March 22 - March 25

Exploring the coastal landscapes and seashores of South Carolina never gets old. The Port Royal area of South Carolina is rich with history dating back to the Civil War and is full of color and light. Its natural history includes a love of the land and sea that can be captured on the shoreline, boardwalks and docks along the harbor and salt marshes. From sunrise to sunset, this area is rich with visual treasures, including live oaks, boneyard beaches and warm sea breezes. During our stay you’ll capture elements of this area in full color as well as infrared.

Beyond the ruins of St. Helena Chapel of Ease near Beaufort and Old Sheldon Church, you’ll experience the South and a plantation oak alley that is delightful. Several locations are accessible only to our group. Workshop includes field and classroom sessions. Whether you love landscapes and seascapes or have a passion for macro and fine details in color, infrared or monochrome, you’ll leave with incredible images and memories and refined skills.
