More Than Just Another Shot
Crafting images that tell stories not just what you see, but how you feel about it. In todays world snapshots are made (and ignored) by the hundreds of millions each day. Technology has progressed to the point that it’s even possible for cameras to take images without anyone there to operate them, and cameras are literally everywhere. If you want your images to stand out, they have to go beyond merely documenting what’s in front of you. They need to tell stories and communicate what you feel about what you’re seeing. Even landscape shots can tell a story. The choices you make from the lens you use, your composition, your exposure settings and your processing, all become key elements in crafting your images that communicate your experience to your viewers. In this super session I’ll demonstrate how those choices, both in camera as well as during post processing, can affect the stories your images tell and their dramatic appeal and impact. If time permits you’ll have a chance to practice some of what is covered as well.
