Join Nate Chappell to photograph wintering Whooping Cranes and a wide variety of other water birds. The timing of this event is such that Whooping Cranes will still be wintering in the area but resident birds such as Great and Reddish Egrets, Roseate Spoonbills and other water birds are starting to build nests and court. We will have 3 boat trips on a specialized photography boat to photograph the Whooping Cranes. Also during these boat trips we will visit rookery islands where the Egrets and Spoonbills are starting to build nests. In the afternoons we have access to blinds where the Whooping Cranes and other birds come in to feed in a local field. Nate will give presentations on bird photography and help you in the field.
