Ken Archer and I will be leading a workshop to some of our favorite local areas in Western Washington. In the mornings we will be photographing the Bald Eagles at Hood Canal and in the afternoons we will be photographing approachable Wood Ducks at a local lake and songbirds at feeder setups. Every spring the low tides at Hood Canal attract large numbers of Bald Eagles which come to feed on spawning sculpin. It's a great place to get flight and interaction shots of eagles.

Nate Chappell's photography has placed in the NANPA Showcase for 2009 and 2010. He has led numerous bird photography tours and workshops over the past 3 years. Ken Archer is a former first place winner in Nature's Best Photography landscape section and overall winner of Wyoming Wildlife Photo Contest. His work is widely published.

The first day of the workshop we will have a 3 hour presentation and question and answer period and each evening we will have a group critique session. During the course of the workshop Nate will teach how to handhold a long lens for flight photography. The cost of the workshop is $1,595 and includes all lodging, transportation, guiding, instruction and property use fees.
