Anyone have a 7D yet?
I've been putting off upgrading my current 5D. While I have no interest in giving up my full-frame sensor I've been toying with adding a 7D as a backup.
Anyone have one yet? |
Why yes Doug, I've had one for a couple of weeks now. I've got less than 100 clicks on it so far but I really like it. The viewfinder is HUGE compared to the 5D.
One of my first few shots with it: http://www.binaryemulsion.com/wordpr...misty-morning/ |
image quality
i had a 7D when it first came out. Although it had all the bells and whistles, the image quality was terrible. I'm using all top notch L lenses, and no matter what, I couldn't get anything great. My rebel was far better for image quality.
I'd recommend reading this review by Darwin Wiggett http://darwinwiggett.wordpress.com/2.../the-canon-7d/ . I did all the same tests, and had all the same results. I also tried every af micro adjustment setting. I ended up trading it for a 1D3. I dont know what the newer bodies are like, but mine was brutal. I'd recommend trying before buying. Hope this helps, Connor Stefanison http://www.connorstefanison.com/ |
Love my 7D
I own a 7D. It is a great camera. Very good for sports. Some the 7D is almost or just as the Mark 5. It alll depends on how you use. The interface of a 7D is very similar to the Canon 5D mark II. Both are good cameras.
