Using Photography to Benefit Rural Kenya

I am currently a student member of NANPA and am with a student group working on a project with Engineers Without Boarders in rural Kenya. We are looking into ways to assist in the economic development and sustainability of the town of Mbita, next to Lake Victoria, as well as providing solar panels to be used at a learning center that Engineers Without Borders is completing.

One of the ideas brought up in our group was to use photography to promote the local region and possibly help foster the local tourism industry. I am wondering if you can provide feedback on how to do this and/or know someone else to contact.
I may be reached at dmcclure@ucsd.edu.

Thank you,

Duncan
