WA Bald Eagles and Seabirds, May 2013
HOOD CANAL, WASHINGTON EAGLE AND BIRD PHOTO WORKSHOP
MAY 23-27, 2013
Join Nate Chappell and Gorazd Golob for a workshop to photograph the Bald Eagles, Wood Ducks and seabirds of the Hood Canal region of Washington state. Dozens of Bald Eagles gather in a specific location on Hood Canal during low tides in the spring to feed on spawning sculpin fish. It's a great location for getting flight shots of eagles. Great Blue Herons and Glaucous-winged Gulls also join in the feast, providing opportunities for interaction shots between eagles and the other species. In addition to 4 morning sessions with the eagles in the afternoons we will photograph other birds including an afternoon at a park with Wood Ducks, a boat trip to photograph Tufted Puffins, Rhinoceros Auklets and other seabirds with a chance for Orcas, and a visit to a Pigeon Guillimot colony. Nate will give presentations on photographing birds in the wild and fill flash for bird photography. Gorazd is an award winning photographer who uses Nikon.
The cost of the workshop is $1,795 with a $200 single supplement. This includes all accommodation, transportation, guiding and instruction.
