7D Firmware update--- how'd it go?

I'm debating about updating the firmware on my 7D, per Canon's release of http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_7d#DriversAndSoftware last fall.

Have any of you done so on your 7D, and if so, have you been happy with the results? Had issues?

Is there a specific concern?

Normally the firmware updates are important updates with fixes to a number of issues. Some of the issues are reported, but other minor issues and fixes may not be publicly listed. Updates can affect EXIF, lens performance, battery performance, color, or noise reduction to name a few. As a general rule, give it a few days or a week after initial release and then update the firmware. If there are issues - which is rare - they would be uncovered and fixed in the first few days.

Eric... thanks so much! No specific concerns---just general experiences from others who've done it and whether or not it created any new problems, given I've never done it with the 7D. Your feedback's so helpful! Thank you!

Someone by the name of Dan, I believe, called me today to discuss---and I had a call come in that I needed to take while we were on the phone. Dan, I realize I can't call you back as I don't have your number (I thought I did, but it didn't appear on my phone). Can you call me when you have a moment? Thanks so much and I apologize!
