We are offering NANPA members a $500 discount on this fantastic tour to photograph the mammals and birds of Namibia.
Join NANPA members and award winning photographers Nate Chappell and Ken Archer to photograph large mammals and beautiful birds in the spectacular landscapes of Namibia. We will also have a full time experienced Namibian tour leader with us. The accommodations and cuisine are excellent.
This tour focuses on getting great images of the mammals and birds of Namibia. If you are interested in landscape photography you will also get plenty of great opportunities for that.
The Itinerary features -
2 nights at Ondekaremba Africafarm - a great place to photograph a lot of small, beautiful bird species at close range from blinds.
2 nights at Waterberg Plateau Park - many endemic birds, smaller mammals and antelope all in a wonderful setting under the Waterberg escarpment.
5 nights at Etosha National Park - Many people consider Etosha the top game viewing park in all of Africa. Large numbers of elephant, lion, antelope and many large birds such as raptors and bustards are easily photographed out our vehicle windows at the water holes which are located near the park's roads. We will stay at 1 lodge just outside the park and 2 lodges (4 nights total) inside the park.
2 nights at Erongo Mountain Lodge - One of the top lodges in Namibia both in terms of accommodations and service, as well as being in a beautiful setting in the Erongo Mountains. Many bird species are attracted to the waterholes which are just outside the lodge.
2 nights at Walvis Bay - We will have 2 nights on the Namibian coast and go for a boat ride to photograph marine mammals and birds. The salt flats of Walvis Bay attract thousands of waterbirds including large numbers of flamingos.
