Just Joined as of 7/7/2009 - NANPA

Hi there,

I am Jim Patterson and I just joined. I got fired up after attending the Rocky Mountain Writers and Photographers workshop in Colorado.

I'm a full time tenured professor of business and i.t. at Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix. As part of my duties, I teach an intro to digital photography course. I'm planning on writing a Lightroom course as I love that. Oh do I.

I love travel and outdoor photography and have even done a wedding. My next trip is a few weeks I will go to Ireland. Before that, I will lead a PhotoWalk 2009 in North Phoenix.

I will post photos from Ireland. After that, I'm going to take scuba lessons so I can go on that Nikon School of Underwater Photography program in Bonaire around Christmas time.

Let's see, I also have a Photowalk to lead on July 18th. Gosh, I almost have 50 people signed up. This will be huge all over the world.

I am a professor at Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix. I have to tell you my burning desire is to do outdoor/trip photography workshops. Oh, and get better as a photographer.

By the way, I once poo poo'd it, but I've started to get into Twitter. There are some good knowledgeable people in photography who twitter so check it out.

NANPA will be a good fit for you. It is a great place to share and it souds like you have much to share.

As I started to read your email the first few words alarmed me. To quote "I got fired.... "

of course you went on to say fired UP— very different.

Wow, the Photowalk2009 I am leading is all full now! Aye carrumba. I hope this works. I heard a rumor that participants will get a Lightroom Plugin to post photos; I wish they'd contact me on that... we're getting close! July 18th is the date.
