The rural landscape of northeastern North Carolina is quite diverse. It reflects lives filled with hard work and an appreciation of what nature provides, both in sustenance and rustic beauty.
During this workshop, we will spend our daylight time shooting in and around Hyde County--an area that feeds agriculturally, supports local seafarers in Engelhard and Swan Quarter, provides easy access to Lake Mattamuskeet NWR, and gives visitors a chance to slow down a bit.
Join Jamie Konarski Davidson (New Life Photos) and Mark Hilliard (The Lens Work Gallery) for a weekend full of in-the-field instruction and classroom sessions and learn how to shoot and finetune your infrared (IR) images for both faux color and traditional b/w using Photoshop and Nik software. You'll be introduced to alternative UV/IR spectrums as well as creative approaches to IR shooting. Infrared shooting and image processing will help you appreciate the light we do and do not see.
