I've been in Arizona since 2000, but moved to Colorado Springs two weeks ago. I am a full-time photographer specializing in wildlife while maintaining a foothold in landscape work.
For the last two weeks, in addition to getting moved in, I've started exploring some of the places to shoot within an hour's drive of Colorado Springs. On Sunday, I'll be heading to Rocky Mountain National Park for a few days.
Below are a couple images taken in the last week. I am using a Canon 5D Mark III and Canon's 600mm F/4L IS II as my primary wildlife lens. Both these shots were taken with this camera and lens in early light. The Mule Deer buck in velvet was shot at Mueller State Park. The "Kiss for Mom" Prairie Dog shot was taken at Big Johnson Reservoir.
Should you be in the general area/Colorado, I'd love to meet some new friends, talk shop and perhaps get out and shoot some new locations.
