I'm sure that I'll be in the park so that sounds like a plan. We're already planning on spending New Year's there again this year. Hopefully we get snow like last year.

I am in awe of this photo! NANPA member photographers are truly inspirational to a neophyte like me! By the way, did you also capture something streaking across the sky from left to right as you look at at the image? About two/thirds of the way up on the left side there is a tiny white line that goes across the image from west to east. Could this have been an aircraft or shooting star, etc.?

Thanks Carolyn and welcome to our new forums. Yes there was a jet trail across the top. I did remove most of it but you can still see traces, especially on this small size. You can read a little more about the image here:

Nice to hear from you! Really did enjoy the story behind the photo. A question--how did you go about making your decision on the aperture and ISO the first time around? When did you all start the actual shooting? Is there an optimal time?
