We will be staying at 3 different lodges, each of them are excellent and attract different species of birds at their hummingbird and fruit feeders. We will be using high speed multiple flash hummingbird setups on the trip. In addition to 25-40 species of hummingbirds participants will have good opportunites to photograph many other species of birds including antpittas, tanagers, toucans and many others. Nate Chappell has led 5 trips to Ecuador previously to photograph birds and spends a couple of months a year photographing birds in Ecuador. Ken Archer's photographs of ducks and mammals have been widely published and he is a former first place winner of the Nature's Best contest in the landscape category. Ken Archer will lead an extension to Sani Lodge in the Ecuadorian Amazon from June 7th to 12th. Sani is situated on an oxbow lake off the Napo River and is surrounded by tropical rain forest.
