I was curious as to the events that people might be looking forward to at the next summit? Is there any place near Reno that might be interesting to take some photos, pre or post summit?
I am interested in just about everything, but mostly I am looking for wildlife and landscape. I am curious if there are NWR's, state parks, national parks that are within a reasonable distance from the summit for maybe a day trip?
Watch for the Summit announcements and PDF brochure. There are usually some tips on local shooting opportunities near the Summit location. Also try searching the web. If you don't find much for Reno, try Lake Tahoe which is right next door.

If you are into wildlife I read that there are a lot of "cat" houses outside of Reno that might make for some interesting shots. Thats only what I read of course.
Given the timing Tahoe would offer a winter setting that could be very compelling. I would be interested in feedback from anyone who may have shot around Truckee, or any of the ski areas during the season.
