Default Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM - I vs. II

Hello all,

I'm thinking of picking up the Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 L IS but am stuck trying to decide whether the huge cost increase between the Mark I and the Mark II is worth it. Has anyone used both? Thoughts?

The II version is definitely sharper than the I, but it is not sharper than the 70-200 f4 IS. And you have a huge weight savings for a lot less money.
