I shoot primary RAW because I like to be in control of the creative process, rather than letting the software in my camera make decisions for me. I also shoot strictly landscape and macro so burst speed isn't important to me. How do you shoot and why?
I shoot raw as well, usually with auto focus turned off. I also do mostly landscapes but I'm trying to add some urban shots as well. Raw gives me more control over the final product and I find I can focus better than allowing the lens to do it for me.
Shooting RAW is the only way to even have a hope of controlling highlights accurately. I see some folks on my workshops shooting RAW + jpegs. I don't but would understand why someone would if they were using the jpegs for quick editing, but usually they don't. Most tell me they soot jpegs for the "comfort" factor, which I totally do not understand.
