Default Cell Phone Coverage

Does anyone have any experience with AT&T Wireless coverage in the more rural areas of Western NC,SC, and VA. I've been thinking of switching but looking at there coverage map it may not be a very good idea?

Thanks
Carson

i have ATT in VA, often in rural areas. Coverage is not great, it is fine along the highways, but off the main roads in the mountainous areas, much more limited. However, i am sure that anyone covers the rural mountains very well. If you find a company that does, please post it.

Joyce I have Alltel which in my area is now Verizon. My contract is up but I'm heading up to NC and SC for 10 days at the end of the week so for the moment I'm going to stick with what I've got. However looking at what verizon has to ofter compared to what I currently have I'll most likely switch to ATT when I get back.

Thanks
Carson
