Default New Hampshire Fall Foliage: White Mountains etc




Two Sessions

Session 1

Begins: Friday September 30, 2011

Ends: Sunday October 2, 2011

Session 2

Begins: Monday October 3, 2011

Ends: Wednesday October 5, 2011

Explore the beautiful White Mountains and the Northward into the Northern forest with professional photographer John Slonina. We will be visiting several places to explore the beauty of the Northern NH. To get the best lighting we plan on photographing predawn to sunset with a mid day break. We will have some opportunities to photograph early fall color autumn waterfalls and rivers great mountain vistas and covered bridges.

We also will head north into Moose Country to photograph the Northern Forest and its wildlife. These are examples of some of our subjects we that makes this area a photographers delight. We will visit some little known spots. The crowds this time of year is minimal. As a resident of New England, John has been photographing and exploring the White Mountains for several years.

One Session:

$695 per person

Includes Hotel (2 nights stay), Instruction, and Transportation

The are other options if you do not need a hotel.

Both Sessions:

$1300 per person

This includes Hotel (5 nights stay), Instruction, and Transportation

Each session will cover different areas.


You can pay in full or leave a deposit.

$300 per person. Final payment is required by August 1.

Anyone with a interest in photography from a beginner to professional photographer who has a love of being outdoors and nature. Both Digital and or Film shooters are welcome.


Our groups are small in size and are limited to 6 people. This group size allows for flexibility in our plans if interesting and unexpected photo opportunities present themselves. Also it will allow us to work with each participate to provide complete, informative, helpful lessons. This also ensures that no question is left unanswered.

On location, John will demonstrate how you can best use your equipment. We will do our best to help you get beautiful professional high dynamic quality images which will make nice prints on your wall.

Before and after each workshop we will access each participants needs, interests and skills so we can teach techniques that will help each participant. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned pro we will help you grow as a photographer.


We believe in capturing the best light our workshop include sunrise and sunset shoots (weather permitting). Early morning and later afternoon has the best lighting for photography. Itís also the time wildlife is most active. Also early morning has some other advantages less traffic and people and less wind. We will be out most of the daylight hours. If we are lucky we will also get some overcast lighting we is excellent for fall photography.

Each day is paced to maximize photo opportunities and the schedule will be flexible to maximize getting the best light.

Day 1:

Check in hotel then meet at 2pm.

We will have an group introduction then leave to photograph the afternoon light and continue on till sunset.

This will be followed by dinner.

Day 2 :

We will visit multiple areas. This includes sunrise and sunset.

Day 3:

Sunrise Photoshoot.

We will have everyone back by 11am

This will be conclusion of trip and hotel checkout time.

If any participant wants to do a late afternoon thru sunset shoot they are welcome to join me (no additional charge).


Transportation to field locations is included.


Included in this tour.

Host Hotel will be the Royalty Inn in Gorham, NH.

John Slonina is a professional nature photographer who has been photographing the nature for over 25 years. He estimates he has taken over 250,000 photos. He has a love of natural history as well. You will receive education not just in photo technique, but also in the natural world. Understanding the natural world not only increases your appreciation of nature but also helps you become a better nature photographer.
