Default Stapelia flavopurpurea

Okay, it's not a true macro shot but it is a close-up.

Took this a couple weeks ago at a cactus and succulent show in San Francisco. These are native to South Africa. Stapelia are often referred to as "carrion flowers" because most of them smell like rotting meat. This is one of the few exceptions to that.

Cheers,
Doug

Default Nice!

Nice shot Doug. This plant is interesting in it's own right; it would make a superb shot in the wild.

Cheers,
John
