Default Great Smoky Mountains Early Summer Workshop June 7-10, 2012

Synchronous fireflies, night time light painting, early summer wildflowers and macro fine art. Join Bill Campbell, author and photographer of The Smoky Mountains Photographer’s Guide, along with Jamie Konarski Davidson for a fun-filled workshop in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you have never seen or heard of the Synchronous fireflies, they are a species of fire fly (lightning bug) that blinks their bioluminescent light in response to other fireflies. Think of what a Lightning Bug Wave would look like. Fireworks of nature is a good way to describe the feeling, because of the beauty of the display. Our other nighttime exploration is to encourage participants to become comfortable using light painting as an expression of their photography.
For more information or to register, visit Bill at or Jamie at Workshop based at Talley Ho Inn, Townsend, TN, with special group rate (mention Bill Campbell Photography). You won't want to miss the opportunity to capture this amazing light display or the wildflowers!
