This tour begins in Anchorage where we will meet spend 1 night then fly to the beautiful Lake Clark National Park. We will be spending 6 days and 5 nights at the Silver Salmon Creek Lodge. We will be photographing numerous bears and beautiful landscapes and Eagles of course.
As an added bonus we will be taking a boat ride to a remote island where we will photograph two species of Puffin. The Horned and Tufted puffins are both beautiful and look totally different than each other. The island also hosts several nesting pairs of Kittiwakes, Common Murres, Auklets, and Oystercatchers. We will land on the island setup our trips and photograph different behaviors of the birds.
The goal is to concentrate on photographing the wildlife in the best possible light. During the downtime in the lodge John will be teaching various techniques for post processing and editing including lightroom and photoshop. We can review your images also. We will discuss shooting strategies.
