Tonight, at 11 PM Eastern Time, the entry window for NANPA’s Showcase Competition closes. Have you got your entries in or are you a procrastinator? I’ll confess to sometimes waiting until the last minute to get something done. The important thing is actually getting it done. So, the good news is: You still have time. The bad news is: Not much!
In addition to bragging rights, there are a number of great prize packages for the category winners and the top 100 and top 250 photos. This year, there are six categories: birds, mammals, ‘scapes, macro/micro/all others, altered reality and conservation. Learn all about Showcase, rules, prize packages and more on the Showcase page.
Looking for some tips or inspiration? Take a look at NANPA Showcase Competition organizer Wendy Shattil’s tips for getting the best results when you enter photo contests (above), from her webinar “Photo Contest Secrets Revealed.” NANPA members can watch the webinar in its entirety from the Members’ Area at nanpa.org.
One last tip: Make sure to follow all the rules! The easiest way for a judge to narrow down the field of entries is to reject those which don’t conform to the rules.
So, what are you waiting for? Show us what you’ve got! Maybe we’ll see one of your images among the winners. Good luck!
