Default Acting Naturally

Made this image on Hurricane Ridge this summer. A herd of the deer (buck, doe, fawns) were on the ridge and in the parking lot early in the morning. They may have been migrating down in the early fall (August) because they weren't there several days later.

I'm not sure what wildlife 'category' this fits in. Both my wife and I think it's somewhat 'unique' and can't remember seeing anything similar. Our first thoughts were 1)that we didn't know bucks exhibited this behavior this way, and that 2)it was a new window into that behavior. What do you think? (It certainly isn't meant to demean them and/or their behavior!!)

(Not being sure where I could get comment, I posted this in the Wildlife SIG also. Apologies if needed.)
