Hunt’s: A Full-Service Camera Store

From the Editor: Membership organizations like NANPA can keep the costs of membership and conference registration low and to develop new resources thanks to the support of companies like Hunt’s Photo and Video. If you’ve been to one of NANPA’s Nature Photography Summits or Celebrations, you probably have met Gary Farber of Hunt’s Photo and Video.  Hunt’s and Gary have been long-time NANPA sponsors, including at this year’s Nature Photography Summit in Las Vegas.

Hunt’s has been a partner with NANPA since 1999. When Gary Farber first joined, he was only 22 years old. During his years as an active NANPA member, he has gotten to know and befriend many other members and built many long-lasting relationships. He’s been involved with both the high school and college program and continues to stay in touch with many of the people who participated in each.

Summit Challenge Grant for NANPA Foundation

During NANPA’s recent Nature Photography Summit and Trade Show in Las Vegas, one bunch of photographers always seemed to be especially hard at work, energized and excited. These young people were participants in the NANPA Foundation’s Summit College Scholarship Program and their week in Las Vegas was packed with learning, growing, creating, networking and having fun.

Their assignment: develop a story-telling project which would be shown during the Summit.

From the Executive Director – Susan Day

NANPA’s Board terms end on June 30, and new directors take office on July 1, which is also the date that presidents change. I had the privilege of working with Don Carter for a year as president, and on July 1, Don passed the gavel to Gordon Illg. To say that Gordon jumped in with both feet would be putting it mildly.
